Maakplaats is a research and design on how designers can facilitate DIY activity. It resulted in the development of an open workshop and projects called MijnDing.

MaakPlaats has been designed during the graduation of Nine Perdeck. A research phase about DIY design and how this could be facilitated resulted in design guidelines. With these guidelines, Nine designed a space where amateur designers can follow a whole design process (see, think, make). They can do this by choosing one of the developed workshops, called MijnDing. The workshops where tested, resulting in many custom coffeemakers and happy owners.
